Inspiration for the Gas Monkey Garage F40?

Remember when Gas Monkey Garage threatened to saw off the rear wing of their Ferrari F40? They weren't the first ones to think of that. Mobil 1 used wingless F40s (CGI thankfully) over 10 years ago in their advert. I remember seeing these ads on TV as well but I couldn't find those on Youtube.

I wouldn't have minded if they did cut the wing off. There's plenty of mint F40s sealed in heated garages and collections. I think it could've looked pretty cool.

With a slightly rounded under-chin, it'd make it look like a more 80s take on a Dino, perhaps.

The overall outline of the car looks like a Testarossa, besides the slant nose.
